Utilization of Harmonic Emission Limits by Customer Installations in Low and Medium Voltage Networks

International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power, 2022
The principle of EMC coordination allocates an allowable harmonic emission to each customer installation. If customers do not utilize their allocated harmonic emission on a larger scale, the existing hosting capacity of the network with regard to ...

Harmonic Emission Limit Allocation Using VDE AR-N 4130: Application and Adaptation of Experiences from IEC TR 61000-3-6

International Universities Power Engineering Conference, 2021
Increased installation of power cables and the intensified roll-out of power electronic equipment in the extra high voltage level pose challenges for network operators to assess network perturbations and power quality issues.

Methods for estimating customer voltage harmonic emission levels

2008 13th International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power, 2008
The definition and determination of harmonic emission levels in accordance with the new draft edition of the IEC Technical Report 61000-3-6 is presented in this paper. The paper deals with contributions to the voltage harmonic distortion and, in addition, discusses an alternative method for estimating customer harmonic emission levels at the point of ...

On the Global Harmonic and Supraharmonic Emission of an Electric Vehicle Charging Station: Investigation of Aggregation and Diversity

International Conference on Clean Electrical Power, 2023
The increasing number of electric vehicles (EVs) connected to distribution networks can have a significant impact on Power Quality deterioration. In particular, waveform distortions can increase due to the rising levels of disturbances at both low ...

Evaluation of Harmonic Voltage Emission Level Considering Harmonic Impedance of Photovoltaic Side

2019 IEEE Sustainable Power and Energy Conference (iSPEC), 2019
Considering that when the photovoltaic inverters are connected to the grid through filters, the harmonic impedance at the photovoltaic side of the common connection points may not satisfy the condition that the harmonic impedance at the photovoltaic side is much larger than that at the background side(which is satisfied in the traditional grid), so ...

Emission spectrum of a harmonically trapped two-level atom

Physical Review A, 2006
We investigated theoretically the emission spectrum for a harmonically trapped two-level atom; our study is not limited in Lamb-Dicke approximation. We have shown that the effects of the atomic motion on the emission spectrum are dependent on the initial state of the system, the Lamb-Dicke parameter eta, and the detuning parameter.

Emission spectrum of a harmonically trapped Λ-type three-level atom

Chinese Physics B, 2013
We theoretically investigate the emission spectrum for a Λ-type three-level atom trapped in the node of a standing wave. We show that the atomic center-of-mass motion not only directly affects the peak number, peak position, and peak height in the atomic emission spectrum, but also influences the effects of the cavity field and the atomic initial state

An improved complex ICA based method for wind farm harmonic emission levels evaluation

Electric Power Systems Research, 2020
Abstract Wind farms, as typical renewable energy infrastructure, provide clean energy to the power grid but also inevitably generate harmonic pollution. In the case of a multi-wind farms system, evaluating the harmonic emissions for each farm is essential for the division of harmonic responsibility and the design of the harmonic mitigation scheme ...

Assessing the harmonic current emission level of the residential loads based on the impedance gathering trend

2015 5th International Conference on Electric Utility Deregulation and Restructuring and Power Technologies (DRPT), 2015
Due to the widespread applications of new energy and the power electronic residential loads in the distribution network, it is very necessary to assess the harmonic current emission level since the impact of the collective harmonics cannot be ignored. The calculation of the harmonic impedance is a crucial task to determine the harmonic responsibilities
