An Anisotropic Density Turbulence Model from the Sun to 1 au Derived from Radio Observations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
Solar radio bursts are strongly affected by radio-wave scattering on density inhomogeneities, changing their observed time characteristics, sizes, and positions.

Harmonic emission level evaluation method of photovoltaic system based on relevant vector machine

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
Abstract With the increasing connecting of photovoltaic systems, the harmonic pollution in power grid is deteriorated. The evaluation of the harmonic emission levels for photovoltaic system is significant for harmonic mitigation. However, when the background harmonics are unstable, traditional evaluation methods have large calculation ...

Thalamo‐Lesional Connectivity Signatures of Bilateral Tonic–Clonic Seizures in Focal Cortical Dysplasia‐Related Epilepsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) is the most common etiology of drug‐resistant epilepsy in children. Focal to bilateral tonic–clonic seizures (FBTCS) mark a high risk of drug‐resistant epilepsy and involve thalamocortical circuitry in their generation and propagation.

Phase-Aware Predictive Scheduling for Harmonic Hosting in Low-Voltage EV Feeders: An Integrated Decision Framework

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Fast charging of electric vehicles can introduce phase-dependent harmonic distortion and voltage unbalance in low-voltage feeders, which may reduce admissible charging capacity even when voltage magnitudes remain within conventional limits.

Artificial Intelligence in Systemic Sclerosis: Clinical Applications, Challenges, and Future Directions

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

Is an Apple an Orange? A Large Language Model Benchmark for Candidate Term Extraction and Subclass Decisions Against Upper Ontologies in Engineering and Materials Science

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

Effects of quantum interference in spectra of cascade spontaneous emission from multilevel systems

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
A general expression for the spectrum of cascade spontaneous emission from an arbitrary multilevel system is presented. Effects of the quantum interference of photons emitted in different transitions are analyzed.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.
