The high-field polar RX J1007.5-2017 [PDF]
We report optical and X-ray observations of the high-field polar RXJ1007.5-2017 performed between 1990 and 2012. It has an orbital period of 208.60 min determined from the ellipsoidal modulation of the secondary star in an extended low state.

Synchrotron Radiation for Quantum Technology
Materials and interfaces underpin quantum technologies, with synchrotron and FEL methods key to understanding and optimizing them. Advances span superconducting and semiconducting qubits, 2D materials, and topological systems, where strain, defects, and interfaces govern performance.

Quasi-periodic pulse amplitude modulation in the accreting millisecond pulsar IGR J00291+5934
We introduce a new method for analysing the aperiodic variability of coherent pulsations in accreting millisecond X-ray pulsars. Our method involves applying a complex frequency correction to the time-domain light curve, allowing for the aperiodic ...

Cooling atomic motion with quantum interference [PDF]
We theoretically investigate the quantum dynamics of the center of mass of trapped atoms, whose internal degrees of freedom are driven in a $\Lambda$-shaped configuration with the lasers tuned at two-photon resonance.

This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Particle-in-cell and weak turbulence simulations of plasma emission
The plasma emission process, which is the mechanism for solar type II and type III radio bursts phenomena, is studied by means of particle-in-cell and weak turbulence simulation methods.

Double Helical Plasmonic Antennas
Plasmonic double helical antennas funnel circularly polarized light to the nanoscale, offering strong chiroptical interaction and directional light emission. Extending a single helix design tool, this study combines numerical modeling with experimental validation, revealing large, broadband dissymmetry factors in the visible range.
