This study presents an initial study on the adaptive bistable stiffness of the hair cell bundle structure in a frog cochlea, and aims to harness its bistable nonlinearity that features a negative stiffness region for broadband vibration applications such

Duality and Some Links Between Riemannian Submersion, F-Harmonicity, and Cohomology
Fundamentally, duality gives two different points of view of looking at the same object. It appears in many subjects in mathematics (geometry, algebra, analysis, PDEs, Geometric Measure Theory, etc.) and in physics.

Axisymmetric Stationary Solutions as Harmonic Maps
We present a method for generating exact solutions of Einstein equations in vacuum using harmonic maps, when the spacetime possesses two commutating Killing vectors.

Non-Linear Sigma Models on a Half Plane [PDF]
In the context of integrable field theory with boundary, the integrable non-linear sigma models in two dimensions, for example, the $O(N)$, the principal chiral, the ${\rm CP}^{N-1}$ and the complex Grassmannian sigma models are discussed on a half plane.

Conservation laws for conformal invariant variational problems
We succeed in writing 2-dimensional conformally invariant non-linear elliptic PDE (harmonic map equation, prescribed mean curvature equations...etc) in divergence form. This divergence free quantities generalize to target manifolds without symmetries the

Bayesian inference on the sphere beyond statistical isotropy
We present a general method for Bayesian inference of the underlying covariance structure of random fields on a sphere. We employ the Bipolar Spherical Harmonic (BipoSH) representation of general covariance structure on the sphere.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Random conformal dynamical systems
We consider random dynamical systems such as groups of conformal transformations with a probability measure, or transversaly conformal foliations with a Laplace operator along the leaves, in which case we consider the holonomy pseudo-group. We prove that

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Harmonic morphisms from the Grassmannians and their non-compact duals
In this paper we give a unified framework for the construction of complex valued harmonic morphisms from the real, complex and quaternionic Grassmannians and their non-compact duals.
