Neutrophil‐Mimetic MRI Enables Ultra‐Early Detection of Vascular Inflammation After Stroke

In this study, we developed neutrophil‐mimetic MRI probes that detect ultra‐early neuroinflammation following ischemic stroke by targeting E‐selectin. Within seconds of their injection, these microparticles mimic initial leukocyte adhesion to the activated cerebral endothelium.

Mixed‐Metal Promotion in a Manganese‐Molybdenum Oxynitride as Catalyst to Integrate C─C and C─N Coupling Reactions for the Direct Synthesis of Acetonitrile from Syngas and Ammonia

Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

Complex harmonic mean

We study the harmonic mean of non-zero complex-valued random variables (complex harmonic mean) and establish several geometric estimates and bounds. In contrast to the classical positive-valued case, complex harmonic means may lie outside the convex hull of the range.
