Multimodal Locomotion of Soft Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This review comprehensively surveys recent advances in multimodal locomotion within soft robotics. Typical locomotion modes are summarized and categorized. Furthermore, the underlying mechanisms enabling multimodal locomotion are discussed and classified into three primary categories: active control‐based, reconfiguration‐based, and environment ...

Harmonic Solution of Higher-Dimensional Second Order Kuramoto Oscillator Network

open access: yesIEEE Access
Obtaining the solution of Kuramoto oscillator model is an effective way to understand the mechanism behind the dynamical behaviors it represents. However, it is not an easy work to get, even the approximation solution for the second order Kuramoto ...

Current‐Limiting Control Strategies in Variable Capacitance Electrostatic Energy Harvesters

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work introduces control strategies for electrostatic energy harvesters that balance energy yield with current limitations. Two approaches are explored: traditional peak‐triggered controls, and newly developed quadrature controls, which use smooth voltage profiles.

The harmonic balance method for Yao–Cheng oscillator

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control, 2019
Recently Yao and Cheng suggested a nonlinear oscillator with a damping, and an analytical solution was obtained by the homotopy perturbation method. This paper shows that the oscillator can also be effectively solved by the harmonic balance method.
