Suppressed Stokes Shifts and Hot Luminescence from Quantum Dots within Plasmonic Nanocavities

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates the suppression of the Stokes shift in lead sulfide quantum dots through integration with plasmonic nanocavities. By enhancing spontaneous emission and altering exciton relaxation pathways, this approach enables direct band‐edge emission with improved radiative efficiency, highlighting the powerful role of nanophotonic ...

Superintegrable Oscillator and Kepler Systems on Spaces of Nonconstant Curvature via the Stäckel Transform

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2011
The Stäckel transform is applied to the geodesic motion on Euclidean space, through the harmonic oscillator and Kepler-Coloumb potentials, in order to obtain maximally superintegrable classical systems on N-dimensional Riemannian spaces of nonconstant ...

Algebraic method for the harmonic oscillator with a minimal length [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
We show that the algebraic method solving the ordinary harmonic oscillator can be adapted to the non-commutative case.

Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence and Beyond. Photophysics and Material Design Strategies.

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Photophysical properties of TADF molecules are determined by characteristic parameters that are discussed in detail(. Moreover, using femtosecond time‐resolved spectroscopy, quantum mechanical considerations, and state‐of‐art calculations, deeper understanding allows us to design breakthrough Cu(I) and organic TADF‐ OLED materials. For the latter ones,

A special value of the spectral zeta function of the non-commutative harmonic osciallators [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2005
The non-commutative harmonic oscillator is a $2\times2$-system of harmonic oscillators with a non-trivial correlation. We write down explicitly the special value at $s=2$ of the spectral zeta function of the non-commutative harmonic oscillator in terms of the complete elliptic integral of the first kind, which is a special case of a hypergeometric ...

HORIZONS AND THE THERMAL HARMONIC OSCILLATOR [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2005
We show that two-dimensional anti-de Sitter spacetime (AdS2) can be put in correspondence, holographically, both with the harmonic oscillator and the free particle. When AdS2 has a horizon the corresponding mechanical system is a thermal harmonic oscillator at temperature given by the Hawking temperature of the horizon.

Mirror Coating Research and Developments for Current and Future Gravitational‐Wave Detectors

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
In gravitational‐wave detectors, research on mirror coatings is needed to mitigate thermal noise and enhance the detectors’ sensitivity. In this review, an overview of the latest worldwide research activities on coatings with low mechanical loss and low optical absorption is presented, including new coating designs such as multimaterial coatings and ...

Harmonic Oscillator SUSY Partners and Evolution Loops

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2012
Supersymmetric quantum mechanics is a powerful tool for generating exactly solvable potentials departing from a given initial one. If applied to the harmonic oscillator, a family of Hamiltonians ruled by polynomial Heisenberg algebras is obtained.

Tailoring Second Harmonic Generation via Strong Coupling in a One‐Dimensional Photonic Crystal Heterostructure

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
The strong coupling is investigated as an effective method to modulate the second‐harmonic generation (SHG) in the defect mode and Tamm plasmon resonances. Throughout the entire anticrossing Rabi splitting process induced by strong coupling, the difference in SHG efficiency between two resonances can be modulated by up to two orders of magnitude ...
