Laser‐Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) for Rapid Food Safety Monitoring: Advancements, Applications, and Future Directions

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) emerges as a transformative tool for rapid, on‐site pesticide residue detection in food, offering real‐time screening with minimal sample preparation and eliminating solvent use. Although LIBS demonstrates detection limits (0.009–6.9 mg/kg) suitable for regulatory screening and aligns with green chemistry ...

Biomimetic hydrogel‐based sensors with dual‐mode dynamic‐static tactile sensing capability enabling robotic hand for intelligent material property recognition

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
This study reports the development of a biomimetic dual‐mode sensor based on multilayer hydrogel structures that integrates both the triboelectric dynamic sensing and ionic supercapacitive static sensing to replicate the human's tactile perception. When coupled with a multilayer perceptron neural network, the sensor‐equipped robotic hand attains a high

Enhanced Rabi Splitting of Exciton‐Polaritons and Plasmon‐Polaritons in Lithium Niobate Metasurface

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This study presents an ultrathin lithium niobate metasurface capable of inducing highly sensitive Fano‐shaped resonances, enabling strong coupling with TMDC monolayers and plasmonic metamaterials/metasurfaces. Adjustable Q‐factors lead to controllable coupling strengths, achieving substantial Rabi splitting.

Dynamics of Vector Soliton Singlets and Pairs in Self‐Mode‐Locked Tm‐Doped Fibre Lasers

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This study characterises soliton build‐up dynamics in a self‐mode‐locked Tm‐doped fibre laser, where both cavity birefringence and distributed saturable absorber play significant roles in the intracavity pulse shaping. The recorded single‐shot spectra using the dispersive Fourier transform technique reveal intensity‐dependent temporal splitting of ...

Unravelling the Spatiotemporal Exciton Dynamics in Electrically Pumped Organic Laser Diodes

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
High‐speed OLED measurements combined with advanced simulations reveal how singlet, triplet, and polaron dynamics drive key loss channels that hinder organic semiconductor lasing, while presenting strategies to overcome them. Abstract Organic materials offer wide‐band emission covering regions of the spectrum unachievable by conventional semiconductors.

Geometric quantum complexity of bosonic oscillator systems

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
According to the pioneering work of Nielsen and collaborators, the length of the minimal geodesic in a geometric realization of a suitable operator space provides a measure of the quantum complexity of an operation.
