Charge generation in organic solar cells: Journey toward 20% power conversion efficiency
Herein, a photophysicist's views on charge generation in organic solar cells is discussed. Recent steady‐state and time‐resolved spectroscopic studies regarding the exciton diffusion to donor:acceptor interfaces, charge transfer at the donor:acceptor interface, and long‐range spatial dissociation of charge transfer states are highlighted.

Approximate Solution of Schrödinger Equation with Pseudo-Gaussian Potential Viewed as a Perturbation
We consider the Schrödinger equation with pseudo-Gaussian potential and point out that it is basically made up by a term representing the harmonic oscillator potential and an additional term, which is actually a power series that converges rapidly. Based

Vivid Structural Coloration in Transparent MXene‐Cellulose Nanocrystals Composite Films
Vivid structural coloration in reflectance and high transparency in transmittance modes are observed in biopolymer‐layered composite films. The ultrathin multilayered structures have unique optical appearance, near‐infrared bandgap, and strong optical reflection caused by alternating MXene and cellulose nanocrystals layers with high refractive index ...

Quantum quench in non-relativistic fermionic field theory: harmonic traps and 2d string theory
We investigate a class of exactly solvable quantum quench protocols with a finite quench rate in systems of one dimensional non-relativistic fermions in external harmonic oscillator or inverted harmonic oscillator potentials, with time dependent masses ...

Simulation of harmonic oscillators on the lattice [PDF]
This work deals with the simulation of a two‐dimensional ideal lattice having simple tetragonal geometry. The harmonic character of the oscillators give rise to a system of second‐order linear differential equations, which can be recast into matrix form. The explicit solutions which govern the dynamics of this system can be expressed in terms of matrix

Off‐centering of cations in pavonite‐structured Ag1.75InSb5.75Se11 (AISS) breaks crystal symmetry, inducing Rashba‐like band splitting and high band degeneracy, thus enhancing Seebeck coefficients. Soft bonds between off‐centered cations and Se atoms increase phonon scattering, achieving low lattice thermal conductivity (0.22 W m−1K−1 at 723 K). Doping

Flow physics of planar bistable fluidic oscillator with backflow limbs
Abstract Fluidic oscillators (FOs) are used in a variety of applications, including process control and process intensification. Despite the simple design and operation of FOs, the fluid dynamics of FOs exhibit rich complexities. The inherently unstable flow, jet oscillations, and resulting vortices influence mixing and other transport processes.
