Passive Filter Tuning for Harmonic Resonance Mitigation in Wind Parks
IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 2023Harmonic resonances are an important concern in wind parks as they can lead to fines due to violations of regulatory harmonic distortion limits at the point of common coupling (PCC) with the grid, unwanted outages, and potential damage to wind park and ...

A Novel Extended Noninvasive Harmonic Resonance Detection Technique for Public Low-Voltage Networks
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2022Harmonic resonance is increasingly observed in public low-voltage (LV) networks of central European countries. Adverse effects, such as harmonic disturbance amplification, can be caused by harmonic resonance, which necessitates and emphasizes the ...

Harmonic Resonance Mode Analysis
IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 2005Harmonic resonance often manifests as high harmonic voltages in a power system. It was found that such resonance phenomenon is associated with the singularity of the network admittance matrix. The singularity, in turn, is due to the fact that one of the eigenvalues of the matrix approaches zero.

AbstractIn this chapter, we proceed from a single resonator to systems of linearly coupled harmonic resonators. The coupling induces beating and nondegenerate normal modes. Parametric (time-dependent) coupling between nondegenerate modes is discussed for the two important cases of driving at the frequency difference and the frequency sum.
