Novel slot antennas for harmonic suppression

IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2004
In this paper, novel microstrip-fed slot antennas with simple structure are proposed to achieve suppression of harmonics. To obtain this operation, conductor lines connected with ground plane in rectangular and meander type slot antennas are used, which have wide-bandstop characteristic.

A synchrotron radiation monochromator suppressing harmonics

Journal of Applied Crystallography, 1989
The use of asymmetric Bragg reflection offers the possibility of separating wavelength bands belonging to a fundamental wavelength and its higher harmonics from each other. This is shown in an example calculated for X-rays. Especially for well collimated synchrotron radiation the subsequent use of symmetric and asymmetric reflections in a double ...

Harmonic suppressed compacted reconfigurable slot antenna

2013 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium (APSURSI), 2013
A harmonic suppressed reconfigurable slot antenna is designed and implemented for the operating frequency range of 5-6 GHz. An off-center microstrip line structure is used to excite the resonant slot antenna at its dominant mode. To suppress the undesired higher-order harmonics, a harmonic-suppressed configuration is also integrated into the slot ...

Miniaturized Microstrip Wilkinson Power Divider with Harmonic Suppression

2008 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Workshop Series on Art of Miniaturizing RF and Microwave Passive Components, 2008
A microstrip Wilkinson power divider with harmonic suppression and size reduction is presented in this paper. The proposed power divider has reduced its occupied area to 37.6% of the conventional design. Furthermore higher order harmonics are effectively suppressed. The whole design is validated by the full-wave electromagnetic simulation results.

Suppression of higher harmonics at noise induced resonances

Physical Review E, 1995
We consider the generation of higher harmonics in periodically driven noisy nonlinear systems. Recent numerical studies of higher harmonics in such systems have shown so-called noise induced resonances that manifest themselves in a strong suppression of higher harmonics at certain values of the noise level.

Harmonic suppression and defect enhancement using Schlieren processing

Applied Optics, 2005
The Schlieren technique is a well-known coherent processing method that is usually applied to the visualization of phase objects. In this paper, we demonstrate that, when the Schlieren processing is applied to a light wave modulated in amplitude and possessing some periodicity, the harmonic contents of the resultant image decreases (i.e., the higher ...

Rectangular Waveform Generation with Harmonics Suppression

2016 IEEE 25th Asian Test Symposium (ATS), 2016
This paper proposes signal generator (BIST/BOST) algorithms and architectures for mixed-signal IC testing input. They can provide rectangular waveforms approximated to single-tone and/or two-tone signals with harmonics/IMD suppression. Their circuit consists of digital circuit, a 1-bit DA converter with an analog filter.

An H-shaped harmonic suppression active integrated antenna

International Journal of RF and Microwave Computer-Aided Engineering, 2006
A 2.4GHz active integrated antenna (AIA) with a H-shaped microstrip antenna is proposed to suppress the harmonic radiations of the AIA. The measurement results show a good harmonic suppression.

A Fundamental Suppression Type Harmonic Analyzer

Proceedings of the IRE, 1936
The principles and design of an harmonic analyzer of novel form are described. The analyzer operates by suppressing the fundamental and passing the harmonics through an amplifier with a calibrated gain control to a cathode-ray oscillograph or vacuum tube voltmeter. The apparatus is designed for analysis of audio-frequency oscillations but could be used
