Helicity-selective phase-matching and quasi-phase matching of circularly polarized high-order harmonics: Towards chiral attosecond pulses [PDF]
Phase matching of circularly polarized high-order harmonics driven by counter-rotating bi-chromatic lasers was recently predicted theoretically and demonstrated experimentally.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Ultrasound-Assisted Melt Extrusion of Polymers with the Main Harmonics of 10–60 kHz
Using a digital oscilloscope, the main harmonics resulting from the application of different frequencies and power levels of ultrasonic waves during the polymer extrusion process were identified.

Scattering of obliquely incident electromagnetic waves from periodically space-time modulated slabs is investigated. It is shown that such structures operate as nonreciprocal harmonic generators and spatial-frequency filters.

Harmonic and relative harmonic dimensions
On an open Riemann surface R of Heins type (i.e. R is parabolic with a single ideal boundary component, \(\delta\) R), this paper considers the relationship between the harmonic dimension of the ideal boundary, dim \(\delta\) R, and the relative harmonic dimension of the ideal boundary, \(\dim_ F\delta R\).

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Harmonics suppression effect of the quasi-periodic undulator in SASE free-electron-laser
In this paper, the harmonics suppression effect of QPUs in SASE FEL is investigated. The numerical results show that the harmonics power is reduced by using QPUs, but the fundamental radiation power also has a pronounced decrease as the saturation length

The information content of gravitational wave harmonics in compact binary inspiral [PDF]
The nonlinear aspect of gravitational wave generation that produces power at harmonics of the orbital frequency, above the fundamental quadrupole frequency, is examined to see what information about the source is contained in these higher harmonics.
