A new alien species, brackish water harpacticoida Nitocra spinipes, began to be encountered in the meiobenthic fauna of Lake Ladoga in 2003. As with most similar invasions, the introduction of this species is associated with transport with ballast waters during shipping through Volga-Baltic Waterway. N.

Systematics of the Donsiellinae Lang (Copepoda, Harpacticoida)
Journal of Natural History, 1988The harpacticoid copepod subfamily Donsiellinae was erected within the family Laophontidae by Lang (1948) to accommodate a single species, Donsiella limnoriae Stephensen, an intimate associate of ‘gribble’, wood-boring isopods of the genus Limnoria.

Systematics and phylogeny of Cristacoxidae (Copepoda, Harpacticoida): a review
Zootaxa, 2010Both sexes of a new species of Noodtorthopsyllus Lang, 1965 (Harpacticoida, Cristacoxidae) from a sandy beach in São Paulo State (Brazil) are described using light and scanning electron microscopy. Some Remarks On the Mandible of the Harpacticoida (Copepoda)

Metamorphosis between naupliar and copepodid phases in the Harpacticoida
Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London. Series B: Biological Sciences, 1992Abstract It has been argued that, among Crustacea, copepods show ‘the most complete example of metamorphosis’: from nauplius to copepodid. In groups with either specialized nauplii or copepodids of a particular shape, body form changes markedly from nauplius VI to copepodid I.
