Improved Harris' Algorithm for Corner and Edge Detections
A more accurate algorithm for corner and edge detections that is the improved form of the well-known Harris' algorithm is introduced. First, instead of approximating |L[m+x, n+y]-L[m, n]|2 just in terms of x2, xy, and y2, we will approximate |L[m+x, n+y]-L[m, n]|(L[m+x, n+y]-L[m, n]) by the linear combination of x2, xy, y2, x, y, and 1.

Greedy low-rank algorithm for spatial connectome regression [PDF]
Recovering brain connectivity from tract tracing data is an important computational problem in the neurosciences. Mesoscopic connectome reconstruction was previously formulated as a structured matrix regression problem (Harris et al., 2016), but existing

Segmentation of brain MRI using an altruistic Harris Hawks’ Optimization algorithm [PDF]
Segmentation is an essential requirement in medicine when digital images are used in illness diagnosis, especially, in posterior tasks as analysis and disease identification. An efficient segmentation of brain Magnetic Resonance Images (MRIs) is of prime concern to radiologists due to their poor illumination and other conditions related to de ...

Improvement of Harris Algorithm Based on Gaussian Scale Space [PDF]
Features is the description of the image contents which could be corner, blob or edge. Corners are one of the most important feature to describe image, therefore there are many algorithms to detect corners such as Harris, FAST, SUSAN, etc.

Random recursive trees: A boundary theory approach [PDF]
We show that an algorithmic construction of sequences of recursive trees leads to a direct proof of the convergence of random recursive trees in an associated Doob-Martin compactification; it also gives a representation of the limit in terms of the input
