The proposed hybrid osprey‐salp swarm optimization algorithm addresses optimal power flow (OPF) problems in smart grids incorporating solar, hydro, and thermal generators. The algorithm is validated on Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 30‐, 57‐, and 118‐bus test systems across five single and multiobjective OPF scenarios.

Optimal Placement and Sizing Problem for Power Loss Minimization and Voltage Profile Improvement of Distribution Networks under Seasonal Loads Using Harris Hawks Optimizer [PDF]
Improving efficiency with sustainable radial distribution networks (RDNs) is challenging for larger systems and small grid-connected RDNs. In this paper, the optimal placement of DGs with the Harris hawks optimizer (HHO) under seasonal load demands is ...

Adaptive Relative Reflection Harris Hawks Optimization for Global Optimization
The Harris Hawks optimization (HHO) is a population-based metaheuristic algorithm; however, it has low diversity and premature convergence in certain problems. This paper proposes an adaptive relative reflection HHO (ARHHO), which increases the diversity of standard HHO, alleviates the problem of stagnation of local optimal solutions, and improves the ...

GABA+‐Edited Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy Deep Learning Quality Assessment Framework
ABSTRACT Purpose Motivated by the need to improve GABA+‐edited magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) quality, we developed a three‐module framework to improve transient averaging based on quality. We hypothesized that training a deep learning (DL) model to differentiate spectrum quality could improve transient averaging compared to traditional ...

Metaheuristics-based maximum power point tracking for PV systems: a review [PDF]
Over the years, numerous maximum power point tracking (MPPT) methods have been developed to extract the maximum available power from PV arrays. They are generally categorized as conventional or metaheuristic methods.

Lures do not increase box‐trapping success of an endangered felid in South Texas
We used a randomized design and linear regression to assess whether visual (compact disc [CD] and ribbon), and olfactory (musk and ocelot urine) lures would increase capture success of three mesocarnivores (ocelots [Leopardus pardalis], bobcats [Lynx rufus], and coyotes [Canis latrans]) with box traps baited with a live bird from December 2023 to April
