Effect of Impurity/Humidity on Liquid-Crystal-Enhanced Electret Vibration Energy Harvester

2019 19th International Conference on Micro and Nanotechnology for Power Generation and Energy Conversion Applications (PowerMEMS), 2019
In this report, the liquid-crystal-enhanced electret vibration energy harvester has been realized for the first time. The effect of impurities and humidity on resistivity of nematic liquid crystal (LC) was examined. By suppressing the ionic impurities and humidity absorption in the operation environment, extremely-high resistivity of $10^{16}\Omega ...

Post-harvest banana peel splitting as a function of relative humidity storage conditions

Acta Physiologiae Plantarum, 2016
Peel splitting is a major physiological disorder affecting post-harvest banana quality. This phenomenon occurs only 3-6 days after ripening induction in specific cultivars such as cv. 925 when stored in saturating humidity conditions. In these conditions, Cavendish cultivars (Grande Naine, cv. GN) are not susceptible to splitting. Cvs.

Effects of logging and other forms of harvesting on genetic diversity in humid tropical forests.

2000
AbstractCommercial harvesting of timber through logging is a major form of disturbance in many areas, but the variety of products harvested from tropical forests is immense: wood, fruit and other foods, medicinal plants, construction materials and many more.
