Continuum Limit of the Heavy-Light Decay Constant with the Quenched Wilson Quark Action [PDF]

open access: yesNucl.Phys.Proc.Suppl. 53 (1997) 355-357, 1996
We explore the problems in calculating the decay constant for heavy-light mesons using the quenched Wilson quark action for both heavy and light quarks. We find that the continuum limit of the decay constant is reasonably converged among different prescriptions after the continuum limit is taken.

Alleviating Effects of Citrus Polymethoxyflavones on Autoimmune Thyroiditis via IL‐17 Signaling Pathway

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
Citrus flavonoid extracts reduced TPO‐ Ab levels in AITDs cell models. PMFs exhibited the strongest effect on alleviating AITDs among citrus flavonoids. Tangeretin modulated IL‐ 17 signaling pathway to prevent AITDs, and reduced NaI‐ induced thyroid damage in AITDs mouse model.

Neutrophils promote CXCR3-dependent itch in the development of atopic dermatitis. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Chronic itch remains a highly prevalent disorder with limited treatment options. Most chronic itch diseases are thought to be driven by both the nervous and immune systems, but the fundamental molecular and cellular interactions that trigger the ...

Aвтоимун тироидит по долга употреба на агонист на гонадотропин- ослободувачки хормон како третман за предвремен централен пубертет – приказ на случај [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
There is a small number of studies that have reported abnormalities in endocrine function after a long-term gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRHa) treatment in girls. This treatment is considered as safe and effective by most authors.

Detection of PTEN Mutations in Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsies of Indeterminate Thyroid Nodules: Impact on Diagnosis and Prognosis

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Data connecting PTEN mutations with thyroid cancer risk for indeterminate nodules remain limited due to the rare nature of these mutations. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between PTEN mutations identified in cytologically indeterminate nodules and final pathology and clinical outcomes.

Preoperative Vitamin D Supplementation to Reduce Hypocalcemia Following Total Thyroidectomy: Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of Randomized Clinical Trials

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This study aims to determine whether preoperative supplementation of vitamin D reduces the incidence of hypocalcemia following total thyroidectomy. Methods Conducted in conformity with the PRISMA statement, a systematic review and meta‐analysis of randomized clinical trials (RCT) was performed assessing postoperative hypocalcemia and
