Second cycle: to hatch or not to hatch?
Fertility and Sterility, 2007The objective of this study was to assess the impact of assisted hatching (AH) on pregnancy rate (PR), clinical pregnancy rate (CPR), and implantation rate (IR) after a single failed, fresh, nondonor IVF cycle. Accordingly, we report that patients with one prior implantation failure benefit from AH with improved PR, CPR, and IR in a subsequent cycle.

Chapter 2 analyses the neo-baroque aesthetic of Lost, particularly the narrative’s organization around games and game play. The discussion of the perpetuated hermeneutic and hyperdiegesis in chapter 1 is extended into a directed analysis of the narrative puzzles found in the text of Lost.

Abstract Hatching in crustaceans is an active mechanism in which free, mobile individuals are released from the egg envelopes. For the majority of species, this marks the transition from the embryonic phase of the life cycle, which is spatially constrained by the egg, and the free-living phase.

What kind of animals lay eggs? Where do they lay them, and how do they look after them? Meet some of Australia's incredible egg-laying animals. Starting at the sea, Hatch takes us on a journey inland and underground, to the treetops high above, and back down to a waterhole, till finally we reach the sea once more ...

Drawing surfaces using hatching strokes simultaneously conveys material, tone, and form. We present a real-time system for non-photorealistic rendering of hatching strokes over arbitrary surfaces. During an automatic preprocess, we construct a sequence of mipmapped hatch images corresponding to different tones, collectively called a tonal art map ...

The behavior of Taenia hydatigena, T. ovis, T. pisiformis and Echinococcus granulosus eggs during exposure to artificial hatching solutions was studied. The two-stage swelling attending hatching was found to cause doubling in volume at each step. Four possible mechanisms for the process were tested: (1) Release of an internal pressure, (2) osmotic ...
