Abstract Background The conventional method of assessing radiotherapy outcome in brain metastases (BM) is based on monitoring tumor size alterations on serial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). To accurately determine changes in tumor dimensions, targets require delineations on several volumetric images acquired before treatment and at multiple follow ...

On statistical convergence in fractal analysis
This study investigated the statistical convergence of fractal-generating set sequences, motivated by the observation that natural fractals, influenced by external biological, chemical, or physical factors, rarely exhibit strict classical convergence ...

Advances in Deep Learning Applications for Choroidal Images Analysis: A Narrative Review
Clinical detection and evaluation of the choroid primarily rely on imaging and subsequent image analysis. The application of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly deep learning (DL), in the analysis of choroidal images shows significant potential for improving accuracy and efficiency.

Approximating Gromov-Hausdorff distance in Euclidean space
The Gromov-Hausdorff distance $(d_{GH})$ proves to be a useful distance measure between shapes. In order to approximate $d_{GH}$ for compact subsets $X,Y\subset\mathbb{R}^d$, we look into its relationship with $d_{H,iso}$, the infimum Hausdorff distance under Euclidean isometries.

Multi‐Head Convolution Module With Dynamic Feature Fusion for Medical Image Segmentation
This article combines CNN and Transformer to propose a multi‐head mixed channel convolution and DFA module, which enhances the extraction and fusion of multi‐scale features. Used on three publicly available datasets, the results showed better performance than state‐of‐the‐art models.

A Novel Distance‐Based Metric for Quality Assessment in Image Segmentation
In this paper, we introduce the surface consistency coefficient (SCC$\mathrm{SCC}$), a novel distance‐based quality metric that quantifies the spatial distribution of errors based on their proximity to the surface of the structure. Through a rigorous analysis using synthetic data and real segmentation results, and comparison with established metrics ...
