A Jump‐Diffusion Model of the Auroral Electrojet AL Index: Complexity and Criticality
Abstract This study presents a jump‐diffusion model to describe the dynamics of the auroral electrojet AL index, a geomagnetic measure frequently used to monitor polar ionospheric currents during substorms. The AL index captures the westward electrojet current's intensity, which responds to both solar wind‐driven disturbances and the magnetosphere's ...

A remark on extensions of hausdorff spaces
AbstractIt is shown that any Hausdorff space X which has extensions E ⊇ X in a productive and closed-hereditary class A of Hausdorff spaces whose outgrowth E−X belongs to a productive and hereditary class C of Hausdorff spaces also has a maximal extension of this kind.

Sensory Attenuation of Auditory P2 Responses is Modulated by the Sense of Action Timing Control
ABSTRACT Sensory attenuation is a well‐established phenomenon in which the neurophysiological response elicited by self‐initiated stimuli is attenuated compared to identical externally generated stimuli. This phenomenon is mostly studied by comparing the N1 and P2 components of the auditory ERP.

Statistical disaggregation—A Monte Carlo approach for imputation under constraints
Abstract Equality‐constrained models naturally arise in problems in which the measurements are taken at different levels of resolution. The challenge in this setting is that the models usually induce a joint distribution which is intractable. Resorting to instead sampling from the joint distribution by means of a Monte Carlo approach is also ...

Entire functions with Cantor bouquet Julia sets
Abstract A hyperbolic transcendental entire function with connected Fatou set is said to be of disjoint type. It is known that the Julia set of a disjoint‐type function of finite order is a Cantor bouquet; in particular, it is a collection of arcs (‘hairs'), each connecting a finite endpoint to infinity.
