Compact and finite‐type support in the homology of big mapping class groups
Abstract For any infinite‐type surface S$S$, a natural question is whether the homology of its mapping class group contains any non‐trivial classes that are supported on (i) a compact subsurface; or (ii) a finite‐type subsurface. Our purpose here is to study this question, in particular giving an almost‐complete answer when the genus of S$S$ is ...

Interactions between universal composition operators and complex dynamics
Abstract This paper is concerned with universality properties of composition operators Cf$C_f$, where the symbol f$f$ is given by a transcendental entire function restricted to parts of its Fatou set. We determine universality of Cf$C_f$ when f$f$ is restricted to (subsets of) Baker and wandering domains.

Deformations of Anosov subgroups: Limit cones and growth indicators
Abstract Let G$G$ be a connected semisimple real algebraic group. We prove that limit cones vary continuously under deformations of Anosov subgroups of G$G$ under a certain convexity assumption, which turns out to be necessary. We apply this result to the notion of sharpness for the action of a discrete subgroup on a non‐Riemannian homogeneous space ...

Random walk on sphere packings and Delaunay triangulations in arbitrary dimension
Abstract We prove that random walks on a family of tilings of d$d$‐dimensional Euclidean space, with a canonical choice of conductances, converge to Brownian motion modulo time parameterization. This class of tilings includes Delaunay triangulations (the dual of Voronoi tessellations) and sphere packings.

A lower bound on volumes of end‐periodic mapping tori
Abstract We provide a lower bound on the volume of the compactified mapping torus of a strongly irreducible end‐periodic homeomorphism f:S→S$f: S \rightarrow S$. This result, together with work of Field, Kim, Leininger, and Loving [J. Topol. 16 (2023), no.

A unique chemoenzymatic synthesis route toward (S)‐baclofen is presented, which highlights a hydroformylation and biocatalysis step toward the synthesis of such a challenging β‐chiral amino acid. The shown methodology exhibits high conversions and enantiomeric excess and is transferable to other β‐chiral amines and amino acids.

A Hausdorff HS-space which is not regular [PDF]
In this paper I disprove, with a counterexample, a theorem of H.J. Schmidt [6], which states that each Hausdorff HS-space is regular. M. Paoli and E. Ripoli [4] noted that the proof of this theorem is incorrect, but they left the statement open.
