Morphology and paleoecology of a hybodontiform with serrated teeth, Priohybodus arambourgi, from the Late Jurassic of northeastern Brazil

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, Volume 309, Issue 1, Page 5-32, January 2026.
Abstract Hybodontiformes was a diverse, successful, and important group of shark‐like chondrichthyans known from a variety of ecosystems. Some representatives of the order had a wide palaeogeographic distribution, as is the case with Priohybodus arambourgi. With a multicuspidate crown, P. arambourgi was the first hybodontiform to develop fully serrated

Hauterivian dinoflagellate cysts from Milne Land, East Greenland

open access: yesBulletin of the Geological Society of Denmark, 1980
A minor shaly sequence in the middle of the Hartz Fjeld Formation, Milne Land, central East Greenland is dated as Hauterivian on the basis its dinoflagellate cyst content. The assemblage is compared with the dinotlagellate stratigraphy of the Spee ton Clay, England and the North Sea basin.

Evidence of extensional metamorphism associated to Cretaceous rifting of the North-Maghrebian passive margin : the Tanger- Ketama Unit (External Rif, northern Morocco) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The distribution pattern of diagenetic conditions to very low-grade metamorphism in the eastern Rif has been determined based on a study of clay-mineral assemblages and illite crystallinity of Mesozoic metapelites.

Rifting Evolution of the Central Campos Basin as a Hybrid Rifted Margin: Insights From Tectonic and Magmatic Structures

open access: yesTectonics, Volume 45, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Recent observations and drilling campaigns have challenged the typical models for rifted margins by providing evidence for the existence of intermediate cases between the magmatic and amagmatic end‐members. In this contribution, we document the evolution of the Central Campos rifted margin, located in southeast Brazil, based on a combined ...

Anatomy of Rift‐Segmenting Transfer Zones: New Insights From the 3D Integrated Interpretation of the Southeastern Sector of the Basque‐Cantabrian Basin and the Pamplona Fault (Pyrenees, N Spain)

open access: yesBasin Research, Volume 38, Issue 1, January–February 2026.
An updated view of the southern part of the Cantabrian‐Pyrenean junction through a 3D geological model shows the first conclusive evidence for the ~65 km‐wide diffuse Pamplona transfer zone linking the Basque‐Cantabrian and Mauleon segments of the Pyrenean rift. This transfer zone also affected the style of deformation and configuration of the Pyrenean

Exceptional new record of Cretaceous Hauterivian Angiospermid Pollen from Southern England [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Micropalaeontology, 1991
Abstract. Routine SEM examination of a previously neglected part of the Wealden succession in the borehole at Kingsclere, Southern England, has revealed a very well preserved set of specimens, in a single sample (KCE 777), of a type of early pollen grain only known hitherto from isolated grains.

Upper Cretaceous Seismic Stratigraphy and Magma‐Enhanced Petroleum System of the Offshore Indus Basin

open access: yesBasin Research, Volume 38, Issue 1, January–February 2026.
Seismic data reveals Cretaceous stratigraphy and hydrocarbon potential beneath volcanic rocks in Offshore Indus Basin, where magmatic intrusions enhanced source rock maturation and hydrocarbon generation by 8%–18% during favourable timing coinciding with Deccan volcanism.

Re-evaluation of the Mentelle Basin, a polyphase rifted margin basin, offshore southwest Australia: new insights from integrated regional seismic datasets [PDF]

open access: yesSolid Earth, 2011
Vintage 2-D (two-dimensional) seismic reflection surveys from the sparsely explored Mentelle Basin (western Australian margin) have been reprocessed and integrated with a recent high-quality 2-D seismic survey and stratigraphic borehole data ...

Distinguishing the hauterivian-barremian sediments in the Karkinitsko-North-Crimean though (Zakhidno-Оktyabrska area) by microfosills

open access: yesМінеральні ресурси України, 2022
According to bio- and lithological methods, we have identified and stratified Lower Cretaceous (Neocomian) deposits from well sections: № 29 and 31, which were drilled on the territory of the Zakhidno-Оktyabrska area of the Karkinitsko-North-Crimean ...

Headwater drainage evolution in a foreland basin system using surfaces and topographic metrics (Zadorra River, Upper Ebro, Spain)

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 50, Issue 15, December 2025.
Headwater drainage evolution in the Ebro foreland basin system from N Spain, including the Zadorra River drainage system and its relationships with the Arakil River. Abstract Foreland basins are elongate depressions that develop around the flanks of collisional mountain ranges.
