Making the Most of Your Samples [PDF]
We study the problem of setting a price for a potential buyer with a valuation drawn from an unknown distribution $D$. The seller has "data"' about $D$ in the form of $m \ge 1$ i.i.d.

Frailty Exacerbates Disability in Progressive Multiple Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Background To evaluate frailty in severe progressive multiple sclerosis (PMS) and to investigate the underlying mechanisms. Methods This prospective, cross‐sectional, multicenter study enrolled a late severe PMS group requiring skilled nursing (n = 53) and an age, sex, and disease duration‐matched control PMS group (n = 53).

Classes of Ordinary Differential Equations Obtained for the Probability Functions of Half-Normal Distribution [PDF]
In this paper, the differential calculus was used to obtain some classes of ordinary differential equations (ODE) for the probability density function (PDF), quantile function, survival function, inverse survival function, hazard function and ...

Objective Mycophenolate Mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon due to the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of the vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

The Kumaraswamy Marshal-Olkin Family of Distributions [PDF]
We introduce a new family of continuous distributions called the Kumaraswamy Marshal-Olkin generalized family of distributions. We study some mathematical properties of this family.

We propose a joint model for a time-to-event outcome and a quantile of a continuous response repeatedly measured over time. The quantile and survival processes are associated via shared latent and manifest variables.

Aldosterone‐producing adenomas (APAs) develop via two distinct paths: directly from adrenal zona glomerulosa (zG) cells, or stepwise from zG cells through aldosterone‐producing micronodules (APMs) before progressing to APAs. Advanced single‐cell and spatial analyses identified distinct cell states linked to oxidative stress and cell–cell interactions ...

A New Mixture of Two Components of Exponentiated Family with Applications to Real Life Data Sets
In this paper, the mixture of two components of exponentiated family is introduced as a new family of continuous distributions. Some general properties of the proposed family are discussed such as the quantile function, moments, moment generating ...
