Hazard Rate Function Estimation Using Weibull Kernel
In this paper, we define the Weibull kernel and use it to nonparametric estimation of the probability density function (pdf) and the hazard rate function for independent and identically distributed (iid) data. The bias, variance and the optimal bandwidth of the proposed estimator are investigated.

The Availability of Systems with Bathtub Hazard Rate Function
In our normal life we can see that the most realistic systems possess useful time governed by hazard rateof bathtub shaped. The hazard rate function, however, plays a vital role in the computation of theavailability function. The repair time, however, could be modeled as any statistical distribution.

Adaptive Kernel Estimation of The Hazard Rate Function [PDF]
In this paper, we generalized the constant bandwidth kernel es-timator of the hazard rate function from Watson and Leadbetter (1964), which depends on a single bandwidth to the adaptive ker-nel estimator, which depends on different bandwidths. We derive the asymptotic normality of the adaptive kernel estimator.

A new family of continuous distributions called the generalized odd linear exponential family is proposed. The probability density and cumulative distribution function are expressed as infinite linear mixtures of exponentiated-F distribution.

Hazard Rate Estimation Using Varying Kernel Function for Censored Data Type I
In this research, several estimators concerning the estimation are introduced. These estimators are closely related to the hazard function by using one of the nonparametric methods namely the kernel function for censored data type with varying bandwidth ...

A Modification of the Gompertz Distribution Based on the Class of Extended-Weibull Distributions
This paper introduces a new four-parameter extension of the generalized Gompertz distributions. This distribution involves some well-known distributions such as extension of generalized exponential, generalized exponential, and generalized Gompertz ...

TRANSFORMED DIFFEOMORPHIC KERNEL ESTIMATION OF HAZARD RATE FUNCTION [PDF]
Summary: A transformed diffeomorphic kernel estimator of the hazard rate function in the presence of censoring is constructed. The estimator is defined in the framework of a multiplicative intensity point process model. It is shown that the proposed estimator is asymptotically unbiased, consistent and asymptotically normal. Analysis in the reduction of

A case study of aging intensity function on censored data
A major concern for applied statisticians is the analysis of survival experiments under censoring. Here we study the aging intensity function and the hazard rate function on a case study of bone marrow transplant in acute leukemia patients, based on ...
