Sirolimus for Extracranial Arteriovenous Malformations: A Scoping Review of the Evidence in Syndromic and Non‐Syndromic Cases

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Bayesian and Frequentist Inferences on a Type I Half-Logistic Odd Weibull Generator with Applications in Engineering

open access: yesEntropy, 2021
In this article, we have proposed a new generalization of the odd Weibull-G family by consolidating two notable families of distributions. We have derived various mathematical properties of the proposed family, including quantile function, skewness ...

THE HAZARD RATE FUNCTION OF ELEMENTS STRUCTURES

open access: yesCollected scientific works of Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport, 2017

Evaluating the Utility of Paired Tumor and Germline Targeted DNA Sequencing for Pediatric Oncology Patients: A Single Institution Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield and utility of universal paired tumor–normal multigene panel sequencing in newly diagnosed pediatric solid and central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients and to compare the detection of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants (PV/LPVs) against established clinical referral criteria for cancer ...

Using weibull mixture distributions to model heterogeneous survival data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In this article we use Bayesian methods to fit a Weibull mixture model with an unknown number of components to possibly right censored survival data. This is done using the recently developed, birth-death MCMC algorithm.

Modeling of Immunosenescence and Risk of Death from Respiratory Infections: Evaluation of the Role of Antigenic Load and Population Heterogeneity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
It is well known that efficacy of immune functions declines with age. It results in an increase of severity and duration of respiratory infections and also in dramatic growth of risk of death due to these diseases after age 65.

Characteristics of Hazard Rate Functions of Log-Normal Distributions

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2019
Abstract Distribution of Survival Analysis categorized in three functions those are: survival function, probability density function, and hazard rate function. Hazard rate function is used to analyze extreme value from a probability model of a distribution. One of the interesting distributions is log-normal distribution which is used for

Preferences of Pediatric Patients and Their Caregivers for Chemotherapy‐Induced Nausea and Vomiting Control Endpoints: A Mixed Methods Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

Modeling to COVID-19 and cancer data: Using the generalized Burr-Hatke model

open access: yesJournal of Radiation Research and Applied Sciences
This paper describes an extended version of the Burr–Hatke distribution via generalizing its survival function. This model is called as the generalized Burr-Hatke distribution. The suggested model's hazard rate function can be non-increasing (decreasing)

Some New Facts about the Unit-Rayleigh Distribution with Applications

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
The unit-Rayleigh distribution is a one-parameter distribution with support on the unit interval. It is defined as the so-called unit-Weibull distribution with a shape parameter equal to two.
