Hazardous jarosite use in developing non-hazardous product for engineering application
Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2006Jarosite released from zinc metal extraction process is hazardous in nature and its world wide disposal has become a major environmental concern. In this study, an attempt has been made to immobilise and recycle the jarosite released from Hindustan Zinc Limited, India, using CCRs, so called fly ash, and clay soil.

Toxic hazards of coke production
Coke and Chemistry, 2015The toxic hazards of coke-plant products are considered. A method is proposed for determining the exposure time to hazardous chemicals corresponding to the mean lethal dose and threshold toxic dose for the human organism.

The hazards of fuel production
1980The main hazard in mining is the risk to the workers from accident and disease. Here again it is the much smaller quantities involved in the nuclear fuel cycle which swings the balance of safety heavily in favour of nuclear power. This is shown in a number of different assessments.

The Dermatologic Hazards of Nail Product Usage
Journal of Drugs in DermatologyThe major dermatologic adverse effect of nail polish that has been reported is an allergic contact dermatitis. This can within the ungual and periungual region, but it can also be diffuse and spread along the face, chest, trunk, and arms. The purpose of this paper is to explore the dermatologic impacts, especially allergic contact dermatitis, secondary

Hazardous Waste Products and Problems
Environmental Management and Health, 1990Principles for managing hazardous waste include elimination, if possible, reduction, changing processes and product lines, treatment and disposal. Exports should be drastically reduced, also using complex national bureaucratic procedures. International organisations concerned should encourage good national and international management practice.

The scaling of allergenic products for the hazard characterisation of new proteins
Toxicology Letters, 2013Food manufacturers are moving towards sustainable, alternative protein sources, which should have the lowest allergy risk possible. Until now, accurate pre-marketing assessment of the allergenicity of new proteins is impossible. Moreover, existing guidance documents are restricted to qualitative assessment, have low predictive value and result often in

Product Durability and Moral Hazard
Review of Industrial Organization, 1997Previous durability studies conclude that a monopolist that sells output without any commitment ability will tend to produce output with lower durability than a monopolist that rents output. This paper demonstrates that this conclusion depends critically on the degree of moral hazard (possible damage to output) faced by renting firms. When moral hazard
