Nighttime Haze Removal with Illumination Correction

open access: yes, 2016
Haze removal is important for computational photography and computer vision applications. However, most of the existing methods for dehazing are designed for daytime images, and cannot always work well in the nighttime. Different from the imaging conditions in the daytime, images captured in nighttime haze condition may suffer from non-uniform ...

PEK14: A Kinesin‐4 Necessary for Male‐Derived Fertility in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Of the 61 kinesins annotated in Arabidopsis thaliana, many are still without assigned function. Here, we have screened an insertional mutant library of Arabidopsis pollen‐expressed kinesins for fertility defects. Insertional mutants for three kinesins showed a significant reduction in seed set.

Charge State Influence on Stability and Isomerism in Dehydrogenated PAHs: Insights from Anthracene, Acridine, and Phenazine

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 26, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
The ionization of anthracene, acridine, and phenazine has been explored, along with the removal of one and two hydrogen atoms, to provide valuable information for astrochemists and to understand the behavior of the resulting structures and their electronic reorganization. Abstract In this study, we systematically explored the stability and isomerism of

Unmanned aerial vehicles object detection based on image haze removal under sea fog conditions

open access: yesIET Image Processing, 2022
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have gradually become a major air threat to ships because of small size, good maneuverability, and low cost. Vision‐based UAV detection offers one of the main ways to identify and protect against UAVs.

Promoting Sustainability in Healthcare: Unraveling the Mechanism of Diversity's Impact in the Pharmaceutical Sector

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Although research on sustainability in the healthcare sector is growing, limited attention has been paid to how pharmaceutical companies can be motivated to engage more actively in achieving net‐zero healthcare goals. This study argues that the breadth of directors' experiences—across educational, industrial, and organizational domains—can ...
