Electronic structure of hcp metals

Physical Review B, 1988
The electronic structure of the hexagonal-closed-packed elements Be, Mg, Sc, Ti, Co, Zn, Y, Zr, Tc, Ru, and Cd is calculated self-consistently by means of the full potential linearized augmented-plane-wave method. Energy-band structures, total and partial densities of states, as well as electron densities are presented and discussed in context with ...

Predissociation Mechanism and Dynamics of HCP

The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2009
In the present study, we have observed absorption, fluorescence excitation, and CP radical action spectra of the HCP molecule in the vicinity of the dissociation threshold to H((2)S) + CP(X (2)Sigma(+)). In addition, we have measured the rotational distribution of the CP radical produced from certain single rovibronic levels of the parent HCP molecule.

KME Cu-HCP

Alloy Digest, 2022
Abstract KME Cu-HCP is a phosphorus-deoxidized copper that contains a minimum of 99.95% copper and low residual phosphorus. It has very high electrical conductivity, and may be heat-treated, welded, or brazed without the need for special precautions to avoid hydrogen embrittlement.

AURUBIS Cu-HCP

Alloy Digest, 2021
Abstract Aurubis Cu-HCP is a deoxidized, oxygen-free copper with a low residual phosphorus content. It combines very good formability and joining characteristics with high electrical conductivity (98% IACS minimum). This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties.

Diffusion Imaging in the Post HCP Era

Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 2020
AbstractDiffusion imaging is a critical component in the pursuit of developing a better understanding of the human brain. Recent technical advances promise enabling the advancement in the quality of data that can be obtained. In this review the context for different approaches relative to the Human Connectome Project are compared. Significant new gains

A Crosswalk from the Endangered Species Act to the HCP Handbook and Real HCPs

Environmental Management, 2000
The U.S. Departments of Interior and Commerce published the HCP handbook in 1996 to guide the issuance of incidental take permits (ITPs). The HCP handbook lists six guidelines and provides many others throughout the text. However, the guidelines sometimes contradict the intent of the Endangered Species Act (ESA), and some are vague due to their use of ...

hcp-bcc transition and the free energies of the hcp and bcc structures of zirconium

Physical Review B, 1991
The absolute free energies of the hcp and bcc phases of zirconium have been calculated as a function of temperature by the Einstein-crystal method, using Monte Carlo simulations of a tight-binding model. The thermodynamic transition temperature of the hcp-bcc transition is found to be close to the transition temperature observed in constant-pressure ...

Antiferromagnetism in hcp Iron-Ruthenium and hcp Iron-Osmium Alloys

Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1971
The magnetic properties of Fe-Ru and Fe-Os alloys in hcp Fe-rich regions were studied in connection with magnetism of hcp Fe and antiferromagnetism was found at low temperatures by means of Mossbauer effect and thermoelectric power measurements. The Neel temperature and the internal magnetic field of hcp Fe obtained by extrapolation are 100°K and 16 kG,

Magnetic structures of hcp bulk gadolinium

Physical Review B, 1994
We present results of self-consistent linear-muffin-tin-orbital calculations with the atomic-sphere approximation for hcp bulk Gd, using the local spin-density approximation (LSDA) and gradient correction (GC) for the description of exchange and correlation.
