Dynamics of hydrological and geomorphological processes in evaporite karst at the eastern Dead Sea – a multidisciplinary study [PDF]

open access: yesHydrology and Earth System Sciences, 2021
Karst groundwater systems are characterized by the presence of multiple porosity types. Of these, subsurface conduits that facilitate concentrated, heterogeneous flow are challenging to resolve geologically and geophysically. This is especially the case

Tracking Control of an Autonomous Head Feeding Combine

open access: yesInstrumentation Mesure Métrologie, 2021
This study aims to develop an autonomous combine harvester. A manual steering combine harvester was modified autonomously using navigation systems of an RTK-DGPS, a gyroscope, and crawler speed sensors. These sensors could determine the combine position and heading required to guide the path. The control system is processed for these navigation sensors'

Design, Simulation, and Test of a New Threshing Cylinder for High Moisture Content Corn

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Corn harvesting mode has gradually changed from ear harvesting to direct grain harvesting. In view of the problems of high moisture content in corn harvesting in China, such as the rates of broken grains (BGR) and uncleared grains (UGR) being too high, a

Retracted: Design and performance test on segmented‐differential threshing and separating unit for head‐feed combine harvester [PDF]

open access: yesFood Science & Nutrition, 2021
Abstract In order to solve the contradiction between incomplete thresh, separation loss, and grain breakage rate during the harvest of super hybrid rice by the conventional threshing and separating unit for the head‐feed combine harvester, the segmented‐differential threshing and separating unit for the head‐feed combine harvester was

Study on distribution spectrum of grain connection force and differential-speed threshing device for combine harvester

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2017
As the main index of the physical and mechanical properties of rice, connection force between grain and grain handle is an important factor to determine the degree of difficulty of threshing.

Design of Negative Pressure Spiral Feeding Device for Tangential and Longitudinal Axial Intersection of Combine Harvester

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2019
A difficult problem occurred with straw clogging at the tangential and longitudinal axial intersection of rice combine harvesters, which seriously affected the efficiency and reliability of the threshing cylinder.

Direct threshing of paddy (Oryza sativa) ear-head with reduced straw and optimized grain throughput rate

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences
Reduction of the straw intake is a new harvesting technique that reduces energy and input costs. In existing combine harvesters, the cutter bar of the standard header is set at an increased height, or the stripper header combine harvester is used to ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic
