Adapting head-related transfer functions to individual listeners
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1999A highly efficient data reduction scheme will be described that captures the interindividual variability, present in head-related transfer functions (HRTFs), in only a limited number of parameters. The techniques used are principal component analysis and least-squares fitting of orthogonal spherical functions.
