Automatic measuring system for head-related transfer function measurement
In this paper the Head Related Transfer Function (HRTF) Automatic Measurement Equipment is presented. The system allows to measure HRTF with high spatial resolution within a considerably short time.

Human sound localization abilities rely on binaural and spectral cues. Spectral cues arise from interactions between the sound wave and the listener’s body (head related transfer function, HRTF). Large individual differences were reported in localization

Spatial audio in small display screen devices [PDF]
Our work addresses the problem of (visual) clutter in mobile device interfaces. The solution we propose involves the translation of technique-from the graphical to the audio domain-for expliting space in information representation.

Screening for lung cancer: A systematic review of overdiagnosis and its implications
Low‐dose computed tomography (CT) screening for lung cancer may increase overdiagnosis compared to no screening, though the risk is likely low versus chest X‐ray. Our review of 8 trials (84 660 participants) shows added costs. Further research with strict adherence to modern nodule management strategies may help determine the extent to which ...

Ear Centering for Accurate Synthesis of Near-Field Head-Related Transfer Functions
The head-related transfer function (HRTF) is a major tool in spatial sound technology. The HRTF for a point source is defined as the ratio between the sound pressure at the ear position and the free-field sound pressure at a reference position.

Strength through diversity: how cancers thrive when clones cooperate
Intratumor heterogeneity can offer direct benefits to the tumor through cooperation between different clones. In this review, Kuiken et al. discuss existing evidence for clonal cooperativity to identify overarching principles, and highlight how novel technological developments could address remaining open questions.
