Diagnosis and Treatment of Syncope
Accurate diagnosis of syncope is essential because it ranges from cardiac syncope with a very poor prognosis to neurally-mediated syncope (NMS) with a relatively favorable prognosis.

Introduction: The head-up tilt table test is noninvasive diagnostic procedure, which is used in the diagnosis of syncope. Syncope presents a benign short-term disorder of cerebral circulation with the sudden loss of consciousness and muscle tone.

Reduction in Pulse Pressure during Standing Can Distinguish Neurogenic Orthostatic Hypotension
Background: We investigated whether changes in the pulse pressure (PP) reduction ratio during the head-up tilt test (HUTT) can aid in distinguishing neurogenic orthostatic hypotension (OH) from non-neurogenic OH. Methods: We enrolled consecutive patients

From 3D Point Clouds to Pose-Normalised Depth Maps [PDF]
We consider the problem of generating either pairwise-aligned or pose-normalised depth maps from noisy 3D point clouds in a relatively unrestricted poses. Our system is deployed in a 3D face alignment application and consists of the following four stages:

The head-up tilt test ? a cause of myocardial infarction [PDF]
INFARCTION: A 74-year-old man with no known ischaemic heart disease presented to the Cardiology Department with a history of multiple episodes of pre-syncope. During a head-up tilt test to investigate a neurocardiogenic cause, after glyceryl trinitrate provocation he became profoundly hypotensive and unwell.

Application of Head-up Tilt Table Testing in Children
We investigated the application of head-up tilt table testing (HUT) and management of neurocardiogenic syncope (NCS) in children, as pediatric studies are limited.Seventy-nine patients (ages 6-18 years) underwent HUT for evaluation of syncope. Patient triggers and premonitory symptoms allowed the clinical diagnosis of NCS or non-NCS.

Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.

Glymphatic Dysfunction Reflects Post‐Concussion Symptoms: Changes Within 1 Month and After 3 Months
ABSTRACT Objective Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) may alter glymphatic function; however, its progression and variability remain obscure. This study examined glymphatic function following mTBI within 1 month and after 3 months post‐injury to determine whether variations in glymphatic function are associated with post‐traumatic symptom severity ...
