GC-MS, GC-O and OAV analyses of key aroma compounds in Jiaozi Steamed Bread

open access: yesGrain & Oil Science and Technology, 2020
Jiaozi Steamed Bread (JSB) has a unique aroma as a traditional staple food in China. The volatile compounds in JSB were extracted by simultaneous distillation and extraction (SDE) and headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME).

Volatile compounds of Algerian extra-virgin olive oils: Effects of cultivar and ripening stage

open access: yesInternational Journal of Food Properties, 2018
The distinctive extra-virgin olive oil aroma consists of a complex mixture of volatile compounds. We comparatively studied the volatiles of eight autochthonous monovarietal extra-virgin olive oils from the north-east part of Algeria via headspace solid ...

Determination of Lidocaine in Hair of Drug Fatalities by Headspace Solid-Phase Microextraction [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Analytical Toxicology, 2000
The local anesthetic lidocaine was determined in hair by hydrolysis of the samples with 4% NaOH in the presence of excessive Na2SO4 and subsequent headspace solid-phase microextraction with a 65-microm Carbowax/divinylbenzene fiber, and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry measurement with etidocaine as the internal standard.

Determination of volatiles in beer using solid-phase microextraction in combination with gas chromatography/mass spektrometry

open access: yesCzech Journal of Food Sciences, 2014
Headspace solid phase microextraction and purge and trap analysis were used for the determination of volatiles in beer. These methods were compared with the analysis of unconcentrated gas phase and liquid extraction. Solid phase microextraction proved to

Examination of Intermolecular Forces Influencing Headspace Analysis of Biological Samples

open access: yesMetabolites
Headspace analysis is an effective method for assessing the concentrations of volatile and semi-volatile metabolites in biological samples. In particular, solid-phase microextraction (SPME) is an efficient tool for headspace analyses. Metabolites present
