High‐Entropy Alloy Interlayers Toward Advanced Joining for High‐Performance Structural Applications: Current Progress and Emerging Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
HEA interlayers offer a versatile route for joining high‐performance structural materials. Their compositional and structural design regulates interfacial reactions, suppresses brittle IMCs, and improves metallurgical bonding. Sandwich interlayers further integrate defect healing with precipitation strengthening, enabling improved strength–ductility ...

A Novel Approach to Estimate the Transition Temperature via Dynamic Nanoindentation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A new dynamic nanoindentation‐based method was developed that uses the stiffness ratio as an indicator of the elastic–plastic deformation contributions at different temperatures. The approach successfully identified transition temperatures in ferritic steel and distinguished them from continuously ductile austenitic steel.

Rotary 3D Printing With Integrated Electroplating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A rotary material extrusion platform integrates localized copper electroplating with printing and encapsulation to fabricate cylindrical polymer–metal structures containing fully embedded, low‐resistance conductive pathways that enable internal Joule heating and thermally activated shape‐memory responses.

Mitigating Creep Anisotropy and Enhancing Performance in Additively Manufactured Ni‐Based Superalloys: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing introduces pronounced microstructural and crystallographic anisotropy in Ni‐based superalloys, resulting in orientation‐dependent creep deformation and damage. This review identifies the key microstructural origins of creep anisotropy, examines their influence on dominant deformation mechanisms, and highlights processing ...

Neighbourhoods for health service administration

Social Science & Medicine, 1990
Health and social service administrators are increasingly realising the importance of adopting a community or neighbourhood scale for the organisation and delivery of many different services. The concept of neighbourhood is an elusive one, yet it has been used for a number of planning purposes.

Administrative patterns of school health services

Nursing Research, 1965
A survey of 230 cities in 50 states was taken to determine the present pattern of administration of school health services in the United States. The results indicate that school health services are administered predominantly by boards of education. Superintendents of schools prefer this administrative pattern in nearly 80% of the cities included in the

The State of Men’s Health Services in the Veterans Health Administration

Current Urology Reports, 2017
For many diseases that place a large burden on our health care system, men often have worse health outcomes than women. As the largest single provider of health care to men in the USA, the Veterans Health Administration (VA) has the potential to serve as leader in the delivery of improved men's health care to address these disparities. The VA system has

Education for Rural Health Services Administration

The Journal of Rural Health, 1990
This section briefly describes the administrative needs of rural health services delivery entities, especially hospitals. It then reviews the educational processes in which health administrators are trained, with a focus on changes that have emerged during the 1980s. The final section examines the extent to which the educational programs are consistent
