Prospective Risk Assessment of Medicine Shortages in Europe and Israel: Findings and Implications

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2020
IntroductionWhile medicine shortages are complex, their mitigation is more of a challenge. Prospective risk assessment as a means to mitigate possible shortages, has yet to be applied equally across healthcare settings.

PEDOT‐Based Eutectogel Electrode Arrays for Enhanced High‐Resolution Electrogastrography: Fabrication, Stability, and Wearable Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we present a high‐density PEDOT eutectogel electrode array for enhanced body surface gastric mapping. Silver electrodes are blade‐coated onto flexible substrates, followed by electrogelation of PEDOT:PSS and the deposition of a PEDOT:LS eutectogel.

Raman Microscopy at the Organic–Inorganic Interfaces in Human Calcified Aortic Valves Shows the Co‐Existence of Whitlockite Crystals and Carbonated Hydroxyapatite‐Mineralized Collagen Fibrils

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study advances our understanding of aortic valve stenosis by capturing spatially resolved chemical and structural changes at the nanoscale. The findings highlight the potential of combined Raman and electron microscopy for understanding calcification mechanisms across diverse tissue types.

Using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis Tool to Improve the Automatic Stop Order Process [PDF]

open access: yesGlobal Journal on Quality and Safety in Healthcare
Introduction Automatic stop orders (ASOs) in computerized prescription order entry (CPOE) systems predefine the length of treatment. This can improve resource use for select therapies (e.g., empirical antibiotics).

Record Energy Storage Performance Metrics in Ferroelectric Hafnia‐Based Films through Heterostructure Design

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dielectric capacitors typically struggle to achieve both high energy storage density and high efficiency at applied voltages below 10 V. Here, we address this challenge by introducing a novel hybrid fluorite/perovskite heterostructure design that combines ultra‐high recoverable energy storage density with efficient energy release (Uf ≈ 1016 J/cm3), at ...
