Renal lymphoma diagnosis via urinary cytology and PCR for antigen receptor rearrangement in a cat
Abstract A client‐owned 8‐year‐old male neutered Norwegian Forest cat presented with suspected neurological episodes. Cellular preservation was poor on a cytocentrifuged slide of a urine sample from cystocentesis; however, low‒moderate numbers of possible variably sized lymphocytes were observed, raising concern for lymphoma.

Abstract A 21‐month‐old, male poodle was referred for evaluation of acute lethargy, anorexia and hypovolaemic shock. Initial diagnostic work‐up revealed severe regenerative anaemia, thrombocytopenia and leukocytosis. Abdominal ultrasonography identified free fluid and a suspected mass, with haemoperitoneum confirmed via abdominocentesis.

Iatrogenic pulsus alternans in a dog undergoing median sternotomy
Abstract A 6‐year‐old, 21.8 kg, female, spayed Siberian husky was referred for management of a spontaneous bilateral pneumothorax, due to a ruptured pulmonary bleb. During surgery, sterile saline was instilled on three occasions in order to locate the damaged lung tissue and ensure complete ligation.

Abstract A 1‐year‐old, male, neutered, American domestic shorthair cat was presented for a 1‐week history of lethargy and anorexia. The presenting clinical signs and complete blood count were consistent with anaemia, requiring a packed red blood cell transfusion.
