Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

From Lab to Landscape: Environmental Biohybrid Robotics for Ecological Futures
This Perspective explores environmental biohybrid robotics, integrating living tissues, microorganisms, and insects for operation in real‐world ecosystems. It traces the leap from laboratory experiments to forests, wetlands, and urban environments and discusses key challenges, development pathways, and opportunities for ecological monitoring and ...

3D‐Nanoprinted Fluidically Steerable Soft Robotic Microcatheters
This work introduces a ∼3‐French (1 mm‐in‐diameter) soft robotic microcatheter fabricated by means of two‐photon direct laser writing. The 3D‐printed microcatheter enables remote, on‐demand steering via microfluidic actuation for guidewire‐free navigation of vascular networks as well as microcatheter‐mediated delivery of fluidic payloads to target ...

Heart Rate Recovery in Epilepsy
International Journal of Neuroscience, 2012Autonomic manifestations regarding cardiac function in epilepsy are not rare and are being recognized with increasing frequency. The aim of this study was to assess autonomic function by measuring heart rate recovery (HRR), an index of vagal activity, in patients with epilepsy who were not taking any medication.

Exercise and heart rate recovery
Heart & Lung, 2006This study examines whether heart rate recovery (HRR) improves as a result of exercise training during cardiac rehabilitation (CR).A retrospective study was performed that included 100 patients who completed phase II CR and had entry and exit exercise stress tests. HRR was compared for the sample.

Reliability of Postexercise Heart Rate Recovery
International Journal of Sports Medicine, 2008Passive postexercise heart rate (HR) recovery is currently used in the assessment of endurance athletes to determine changes in performance or in the clinical setting as a predictor of all-cause mortality. The purpose of this investigation was to assess the reliability of HR recovery.

Relation of heart rate recovery to heart rate variability in persons with paraplegia
Clinical Autonomic Research, 2010Heart rate recovery (HRR) after treadmill exercise testing is an index of cardiac autonomic activity in non-disabled persons, but it is unknown if this is also the case in individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI). We investigated the relationship between HRR after maximal arm exercise testing and resting autonomic activity in persons with paraplegia.A

The relationship between resting heart rate variability and heart rate recovery
Clinical Autonomic Research, 2009There is limited research available regarding a possible relationship between resting heart rate variability (HRV) and post-exercise heart rate recovery (HRR). The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between resting HRV and HRR after maximal exercise.Sixty-six college age men participated in this study.

Pathophysiological Characteristics of Heart Rate Recovery in Heart Failure
Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, 2006Heart failure (HF) is associated with blunted HR recovery after exercise. The determinants of altered HR recovery in HF are unknown. The aim of this study was to investigate clinical correlates of HR recovery in HF patients.Echocardiography, pulmonary function tests, exercise testing, and neurohormonal measurements were performed in 98 HF patients.

Heart rate variability and heart rate recovery in patients with coronary artery ectasia
Coronary Artery Disease, 2010Coronary artery ectasia (CAE) is characterized by an abnormal dilatation of the coronary arteries, which is a variant of coronary artery disease (CAD). Increased sympathetic activity or decreased vagal modulation of cardiac function assessed by heart rate variability (HRV) analysis has been associated with an increased risk of coronary artery disease ...
