Repair of postinfarction ventricular septal defect on a beating heart

Two elderly patients with postinfarction ventricular septal defect underwent repair by endocardial patch with infarct exclusion on a beating heart under normothermic cardiopulmonary bypass with ultra-short-acting beta-blocker infusion.
