Gradients of Capillarization in the Subendocardium of Rat Heart Septum

1992
Coronary capillaries and cardiac myocytes constitute the principal components of the heart. The importance of the relationship between these two components is underscored by the critical role of capillaries in supplying oxygen to the working myocytes.

[Aneurysm of the membranous heart septum].

Kardiologiia, 1990
Cardiac membranous septal aneurysm is a rare congenital abnormality which occurs in 0.3% of patients as suspected congenital heart disease and in 19.1% as suspected ventricular septal defect. The main method for its diagnosis is biplane cineangiocardiography along with ventricular contrast injection. The patients with membranous septal aneurysm without

Bloodstreams and the formation of the interatrial septum in the anuran heart

The Anatomical Record, 1963
AbstractPatterns of blood flow have been observed at several critical stages in the development of the frog heart. Shortly after the onset of circulation (Shumway stage 20) two inflowing streams were noted to cross in the sinus venosus and then continue through the atrium, parallel to each other.

Contribution of the aortopulmonary septum to the muscular outlet septum in the human heart.

Acta morphologica Neerlando-Scandinavica, 1988
The development of the outlet septum has been studied microscopically in 14 human embryos, ranging from 9 to 28 mm crown-rump length. Three tissue components are involved in the septation process: condensed mesenchyme of extracardiac origin, myocardium and endocardial cushion tissue.

The membranous septum of the heart: an anatomical review

European Journal of Anatomy
The aim of the review is to explore and clarify the degree of consistency of different researchers’ views on the terminology and nomenclature of the membranous septum (MS), to discover the blank spaces of the theme and the most controversial areas, and to outline promising directions of anatomical studies of this structure.
