On the Equivalence of Likelihood‐Based Confidence Bands for Fatigue‐Life and Fatigue‐Strength Distributions

open access: yesApplied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Fatigue data arise in many research and applied areas, and there have been statistical methods developed to model and analyze such data. The distributions of fatigue life and fatigue strength are often of interest to engineers designing products that might fail due to fatigue from cyclic‐stress loading.

Design of conventional batch distillation of anaerobic digestate to isolate ammonium bicarbonate considering non‐ideal mixture behavior

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract Anaerobic digestate is a byproduct of biogas production and it is suitable for use as fertilizer. Ammonia and carbon dioxide provide the anaerobic digestate with buffer capacity and these compounds are responsible for the regulation of the pH of this soil organic amendment.
