Automated Atrial Fibrillation Detection from Electrocardiogram [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this study, a novel Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) detection algorithm is presented based on Electrocardiography (ECG) signals. In particular, the spectrogram of ECG signal is used as an input to a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to classify normal and

Recurrent Hypothermia and Autonomic Dysfunction Secondary to Shapiro Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A 44‐year‐old man presented with recurrent hypothermia, diaphoresis and hypertension. Extensive investigation for infectious, inflammatory, metabolic and endocrine aetiologies was negative. MR scan of the brain demonstrated no lesions but revealed callosal dysgenesis, consistent with Shapiro syndrome.

Long‐Term Efficacy of Immunotherapy in Autoimmune Autonomic Ganglionopathy—A 10‐Year Follow Up Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Autoimmune autonomic ganglionopathy (AAG) is a rare but potentially treatable cause of severe autonomic failure. Evidence guiding long‐term immunotherapy, treatment sequencing, and residual autonomic impairment is limited. We evaluated long‐term treatment response, residual autonomic dysfunction, and relapse patterns in patients with

Heart beat detection in noisy ECG signals using statistical analysis of the automatically detected annotations / Širdies dūžių nustatymas iš iškraipytų EKG signalų atliekant automatiškai aptiktų atskaitų statistinę analizę

open access: yesMokslas: Lietuvos Ateitis, 2015
This paper proposes an algorithm to reduce the noise distortion influence in heartbeat annotation detection in electrocardiogram (ECG) signals. Boundary estimation module is based on energy detector.

Clinical Practice Guideline for Evaluation and Management of Peripheral Nervous System Manifestations in Sjögren's Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies.

A Review of UWB Radar Detection of Respiration and Heartbeat Signals in Different Scenarios

open access: yesLeida xuebao
Due to their many advantages, such as simple structure, low transmission power, strong penetration capability, high resolution, and high transmission speed, UWB (Ultra-WideBand) radars have been widely used for detecting life information in various ...

Heart rate detection method based on Ballistocardiogram signal of wearable device:Algorithm development and validation

open access: yesHeliyon
Background: Heart rate, as the four vital signs of human body, is a basic indicator to measure a person's health status. Traditional electrocardiography (ECG) measurement, which is routinely monitored, requires subjects to wear lead electrodes frequently,
