Surface Tension Measurement of Ti‐6Al‐4V by Falling Droplet Method in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
In this article, the temperature‐dependent surface tension of free falling, oscillating Ti‐6Al‐4V droplets is investigated in both argon and monosilane doped, oxygen‐free atmosphere. Droplet temperature and oscillation are captured with one single high‐speed camera, and the surface tension is calculated with Rayleigh's formula.

Cermets (60 vol.% AISI 316L stainless steel, 40 vol.% recycled MgO), intended for use in aluminum electrolysis, were pre‐oxidized in three furnaces with different heating technologies and subjected to a cryolite corrosion test. The different atmospheres influenced the formation of oxide layers, which in turn affected corrosion resistance and ...

A model for assessment of heat and moisture transfer through hollow porous buildings elements
Moisture is one of the leading causes responsible for the worst of health conditions and energy performance in households and workplaces. To avoid it, the coupling between a combined heat, air and moisture (HAM) model and a CFD code becomes a crucial ...

The Transfer Properties of Moisture and Heat through Clothing Materials
The wear trials of underwears were performed in a climatic chamber at 10°Cand 25°C. Relations were studied between the temperature and humidity within clothing, the surface temperature of clothing and the residual sweat content of clothing, and wear sensations.
