Thermal Design and Simulation Analysis of Railway Vehicle Closed Cabinet

open access: yes机车电传动, 2020
In order to cope with the severe running conditions of railway vehicles, the cabinet fixed outside the train often needs to be designed as a sealed one, which causes heat dissipation problems.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Modeling and Design Optimization of Ultra-Thin Vapor Chambers for High Heat Flux Applications

open access: yes, 2012
Passive phase-change thermal spreaders, such as vapor chambers have been widely employed to spread the heat from small-scale high-flux heat sources to larger areas.

Radiator Heat Dissipation Performance

open access: yesJournal of Electronics Cooling and Thermal Control, 2016
This paper presents a set of parametric studies of heat dissipation performed on automotive radiators. The work’s first step consists of designing five radiators with different fin pitch wave distance (P = 2.5, 2.4, 2.3, 2.2, 2.1 mm). Then, we proceed to the fabrication of our five samples.

Exploring Curvature Effects in Direct‐Written 3D Curved Hollow Magnetic Nanoshells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fabricated by a hybrid FEBID/CVD method, 3D PtC/Co3Fe core–shell heterostructures with engineered curvature and shell thickness exhibit complex reversal modes with axially symmetric N'eel‐type domain walls. XMCD‐PEEM combined with full‐scale micromagnetic simulations reveal how curvature and thickness govern the domain wall energy landscape and shape ...

Study on Heat Dissipation of Reduction Gearbox of a Hoisting Mechanism in Stopped State

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2016
The shore bridge reducer in the lifting mechanism often emit heat because of continuous operation and high load,if improper heat dissipation will greatly reduce its life.

Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Effectiveness of Entransy Dissipation Metric and Entropy Generation Units in The Design of Fin-Tube Heat Exchangers

open access: yes, 2012
Several techniques and metrics based on the Second Law of Thermodynamics have been used in the past for the analysis of heat exchangers. The terms used for these techniques include irreversibility analysis, entropy generation minimization, exergy ...

Enhancement of Heat Dissipation Efficiency in a Channel by Passive Fluttering Flag Induced Vortex Flow

open access: yes, 2020
Improving the heat dissipation efficiency is a bottleneck problem in the development of microelectronic technology because of the ongoing trend of increasing the number of transistors in a densely integrated circuit which dramatically increases the ...
