Heat Exchangers

2017
: Briefly summarized what is commonly referred to as classical thermodynamics, a young science that relies mainly on what should be more appropriately qualified as equilibrium thermodynamics or thermostatics (by analogy with statics in mechanics, electrostatics, magnetostatics, chemical equilibrium, etc.).

Thermal-exergetic behavior of a vertical double-tube heat exchanger with bubble injection

Experimental heat transfer, 2018
The use of air bubbles as a heat transfer improvement technique for heat exchangers has been proposed by some researchers. The vertical motion of tiny bubbles because of density difference with liquid provides extra vibration, eddies, turbulences, and ...

The research of optimal design of heat exchanger in heat exchanger heat meter

Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Modelling, Identification and Control, 2011
In heat exchanger heat meter, the heat exchanger is equivalent to a flowmeter. The flow and heat can be calculated by measuring the inlet and outlet temperature of heat exchanger. It greatly prevents the flowmeter from the problem of inaccuracy and damage which are caused by the quality of water.

Stream-Symmetry of Heat Exchangers and Heat Exchanger Assemblies

Heat Transfer Engineering, 1984
Sufficient conditions are given for a heat exchanger or an assembly of heat exchangers to be invariant under the interchange of the two fluids. Analysis of this symmetry is performed on tht basis of geometrical or topological properties of the exchanger, and no prior knowledge of the exchanger solution is required.

Efficiency analysis of heat exchangers and heat exchanger networks

International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2014
Abstract The concept of heat exchanger efficiency eliminates the need for charts, or complicated performance expressions, providing a convenient approach for solving heat exchanger rating, and sizing problems, as well as network of heat exchangers. The efficiency of all heat exchangers is determined from a single algebraic expression.

Introduction to Heat Exchangers

1984
Heat exchangers are devices for transferring heat from a hot flowing stream to a cold flowing stream. There are three broad types of exchangers: the recuperator, or the through-the-wall nonstoring exchanger; the direct-contact nonstoring exchanger; the regenerator, accumulator, or heat storage exchanger.
