Heat transfer in a continuous bloomcaster [PDF]
Four approaches to detecting disruptions to the primary cooling process in the continuous bloomcaster at BHP's Rod and Bar Division in Newcastle are investigated. Three of these are based on heat conduction models of the mould.

Parametrization of coronal heating: spatial distribution and observable consequences [PDF]
We investigate the difference in the spatial distribution of the energy input for parametrizations of different mechanisms to heat the corona of the Sun and possible impacts on the coronal emission.

Mass spectrometry based identification of AMP‐O‐Tris generated by Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10
Isolated Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10 generates the noncanonical ATP‐derived product AMP‐O‐Tris while in Tris‐containing buffer as identified via mass spectrometry, revealing relaxed nucleophile selectivity under isolated conditions. These findings suggest that multiprotein Csm complex assembly restricts Cas10 reactivity toward canonical cyclic ...

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Research on Mechanical Properties of Non-Directly Welded Reinforced Casings Under High Stress Ratio
Aiming at the requirement of high stress ratio reinforcement in space steel structures, a novel method for enshancing the load-bearing capacity of casings through indirect welding to produce a reinforced steel pipe is introduced.

A review of weldability of carbon steel in arc-based welding processes
The weldability of carbon steel is determined by carbon equivalent (CE) for predicting/estimating preheat temperatures necessary for weld integrity of the weldment.

Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.

Specifities of application of activating fluxes in electrical welding in protective atmosphere [PDF]
Without the increase in welding current, activating fluxes for arc welding with a non-consumable electrode (ATIG) and for welding with a consumable electrode (AMIG) allow for the increase in depth of penetration 2-4 times.

Thermal performance of a liquid hydrogen tank multilayer insulation system at warm boundary temperatures of 630, 530, and 152 R [PDF]
The results are presented of a study conducted to obtain experimental heat transfer data on a liquid hydrogen tank insulated with 34 layers of MLI (multilayer insulation) for warm side boundary temperatures of 630, 530, and 150 R.
