Specific heating load of thermoelectric heat pumps
Energy Conversion and Management, 1994Abstract A mathematical model for calculating the performance of a thermoelectric heat pump to achieve a specific heating load is presented. The effects of Joulean heating and thermal conduction are considered. An elaborate heat transfer model is employed to relate the thermal resistances between the thermoelectric system and its surroundings.

Journal of Applied Physiology, 1990The present study examined the heat loss response of heat-acclimated rats to direct body heating with an intraperitoneal heater or to indirect warming by elevating the ambient temperature (Ta). The heat acclimation of the rats was attained through exposure to Ta of 33 or 36 degrees C for 5 h daily during 15 consecutive days.

The influence of the magnetic geometry (DND vs. SND) and of the confinement regime (L- and H-mode) has been studied. The in/out and up/down asymmetries are found to be very sensitive to the distance between both separatrices.
