Reusable high-temperature heat pipes and heat pipe panels [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
A reusable, durable heat pipe which is capable of operating at temperatures up to about 3000 F in an oxidizing environment and at temperatures above 3000 F in an inert or vacuum environment is produced by embedding a refractory metal pipe within a carbon-

Biomimetic Nanomedicine for Senescence‐Modulated Immune Activation Enhances Immunotherapy Efficacy in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional mPDZM nanoplatform is developed in this study. mPDZM integrates chemotherapy‐induced senescence, selective senolysis, and STING‐mediated immune activation. mPDZM effectively clears senescent tumor cells, remodels the tumor immune microenvironment, and enhances antitumor T‐cell responses.

Heat Pipe Solar Water Heater System Based on Heat Pipe Technology

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2018
Although traditional solar water heaters bring great convenience to people’s life, there are still shortcomings such as slow start-up speed and poor thermal conductivity. Therefore, in order to improve the performance of solar water heaters, this paper designs a heat pipe solar water heater system based on heat pipe technology, and uses experiments to ...

Transforming Grain‐Boundary Brittle Precipitates to Ductility Pathways in Complex Concentrated Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By engineering graded BCC/L12 interfaces, brittle precipitates in a complex concentrated alloy enable sequential deformation, realizing gigapascal strength with >20% elongation to solve the strength‐ductility trade‐off. ABSTRACT Conventional wisdom holds that hard grain‐boundary (GB) precipitates embrittle structural alloys by acting as crack ...
