Results of the experimental research of the heat-transfer jet pressure to the rock surface during thermal reaming of the borehole [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The performed analysis of scientific sources confirms the existence of a small number of publications devoted to the experimental research of the gasdynamics and plasmodynamics of jets used as a heat- transfer medium in the thermal ...

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Støpejernsovnens form og varme

open access: yesHeimen
I denne artikkelen viser jeg hvordan kunnskapen om og oppfatningen av støpejernsovnenes varmeteknologi og brenselseffektivitet ble utviklet og formidlet gjennom en nittiårsperiode fra 1850 til 1940.

Channeling of particles and associated anomalous transport in a 2D complex plasma crystal

open access: yes, 2013
Implications of recently discovered effect of channeling of upstream extra particles for transport phenomena in a two-dimensional plasma crystal are discussed.

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Effect of chemotherapy on passenger mutations in metastatic colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Changes in passenger mutation load and predicted immunotherapy response after chemotherapy treatment. Tumor cells rich with passenger mutations have increased sensitivity to chemotherapy. Correlation of passenger mutations with neoantigen load suggests highly mutated clones promote a more effective response to immunotherapy, and therefore, first‐line ...

Reconnection and Disconnection: Observations of Suprathermal Electron Heat Flux Dropouts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Suprathermal electron heat flux dropouts (HFD) serve as a sensitive test of the magnetic topology of the inner heliosphere. Since the heat flux electron strahl always flows away from the Sun, a heat flux dropout should indicate either that the magnetic ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Thermodynamic analysis for definition of low-potential heat sources

open access: yesUnconventional Resources
This study presents a method for defining low-potential energy sources based on thermodynamic analysis. It defines low potential energy sources and presents the results of calculating temperature levels corresponding to the concept of a low potential ...

Efficiency of use of waste heat energy on the example of Chelyabinsk [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
We consider the possibility of improving the existing heat-suppling system in Chelyabinsk through the introduction of heat pump technology for the disposal of waste low-grade heat.
