Heat stress: Pollen tubes ROSted by heat stress.

Current Biology
Male gametophyte development is highly sensitive to elevated temperatures. A new study identifies potential drivers of reproductive thermoresilience during pollen tube growth by comparing a set of thermotolerant and thermosensitive tomato cultivars.

Genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying root architecture and function under heat stress - A hidden story.

Plant, Cell and Environment, 2022
Heat stress events are resulting in a significant negative impact on global food production. The dynamics of cellular, molecular and physiological homeostasis in aboveground parts under heat stress are extensively deciphered.

Heat stress in Greece

International Journal of Biometeorology, 1997
For 12 selected synoptic stations of the Greek Weather Service, the daily 12 UTC values of the thermal index Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) were calculated for the years 1980 to 1989. The locally varied occurrence of diverse thermal sensation and particularly of strong heat stress were analysed in relation to the human-biometeorological significance.
