Analysis of heat transfer in unlooped and looped pulsating heat pipes
International Journal of Numerical Methods for Heat & Fluid Flow, 2002An advanced heat transfer model for both unlooped and looped Pulsating Heat Pipes (PHPs) with multiple liquid slugs and vapor plugs has been developed. The thin film evaporation and condensation models have been incorporated with the model to predict the behavior of vapor plugs and liquid slugs in the PHP.

Heat transfer analysis of cylindrical anaerobic reactors with different sizes: a heat transfer model
Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2017The temperature is the essential factor that influences the efficiency of anaerobic reactors. During the operation of the anaerobic reactor, the fluctuations of ambient temperature can cause a change in the internal temperature of the reactor. Therefore, insulation and heating measures are often used to maintain anaerobic reactor's internal temperature.

Simplified Heat Transfer Analysis for Flames in Channels
39th AIAA Thermophysics Conference, 2007A two-dimensional model for heat transfer in reacting channel flow is developed along with an analytical solution that relates the temperature field in the channel to the flow Pe number. The solution is derived from first principles by modeling the flame as a volumetric heat source and by applying "jump conditions" across the flame.

Finite difference analysis of respiratory heat transfer
Journal of Applied Physiology, 1986A numerical computer model of heat and water transfer within the tracheobronchial tree of humans was developed based on an integral formulation of the first law of thermodynamics. Simulation results were compared with directly measured intraluminal airway temperature profiles previously obtained in normal human subjects, and a good correlation was ...

Parametric Analysis of Heat Transfer to Supercritical-Pressure Methane
Journal of Thermophysics and Heat Transfer, 2011Methane is an interesting propellant to be used together with oxygen in a liquid rocket engine and has the required features to be used as a coolant in a regenerative cooling system also in the case of an expander cycle engine: in this context its behavior as a coolant ow must be controlled and this is complicated by the fact that methane could be in a

Heat-Transfer Analysis in Heat Sink Embedded with a Thermosyphon
Journal of Thermophysics and Heat Transfer, 2003A mathematical model for predicting the heat-transfer performance in a heat sink embedded with a closed two-phase thermosyphon is presented. The model includes boiling heat transfer in the evaporator, vapor flow influence on condensation heat transfer, and the effects of fin surface areas and airflow rates on the convection heat transfer.

Simulation Analysis of Heat Transfer of Power Battery
2011Based on the model of battery temperature rising established, several kinds of temperature rising processes are analyzed by means of numerical simulation including heat dissipation by natural convection without fin or with fin and forced convection with fin. The comparison and analysis are made for temperature rising process about their temperatures of

Asymptotic analysis of conductive‐radiative heat transfer
Asymptotic Analysis, 2002In highly absorptive semitransparent material, conductive‐radiative heat transfer is often approximated by either diffusion approximation or Stefan–Boltzmann boundary condition. Using singular perturbations and boundary layer analysis, we derive rigorously these two approximations from the radiative transport equation.
